Compressed-air planning

Find your pipe size.

Compressed-air main sizing. Enter delivered free-air CFM/FAD at the working pressure. If you only know horsepower, leave airflow blank for a rough starting estimate.

Allowances & limits

Checks the pressure-drop target and a maximum pipe velocity of 30 ft/s. Defaults: 25% future airflow, 25% extra length for fittings, 1.5 psi pipe loss.

Planning estimate for room-temperature compressed air at sea level. Manual mode carries full flow through one path. Drawing mode balances flow through connected routes and loops. All valves are assumed open, crossings connected, and unused pipe ends capped. Fitting losses use the chosen length allowance. Each suggested size assumes the same bore in the feed, mains, branches and vertical drops; current mixed sizes and smaller hoses/couplers are not analyzed. Filters, dryers, regulators and tool losses are additional. We confirm final sizes, actual pipe bores and component ratings with your quote.

Change the pipe layout?

Your markers, labels, equipment and shop settings stay. Drops reconnect to the new route automatically. A blank layout keeps markers in place until you draw new pipe. You can undo this change.
