Before you begin

A few useful
answers.

Need to talk it through?
(541) 720-0195 ↗

Do you provide complete on-site system installation?

Yes. We install the complete piping system at your facility. Our crew carries out the pipe cutting, grooving, fitting, assembly and support installation on site. We handle new systems, additions and replacements, with the work planned around your layout, access and schedule. Discuss your installation ↗

Can I buy couplings and fittings separately?

Yes. We sell couplings and grooved fittings individually for system additions, expansions and replacements. You do not need to purchase a complete system. Share the part type, size and application so we can help match your existing system. Ask about individual parts ↗

Is there a difference between red, black and galvanized couplings?

For the same coupling model and gasket, red and black are finish choices, with the same specified pressure performance. Galvanized couplings add a protective zinc finish for enhanced corrosion resistance, making them a useful option for damp or more demanding environments. We help select the finish for the actual exposure, including any chemicals or washdown conditions.

What are the pressure ratings for your single-bolt quick-fit couplings?

Our listed single-bolt quick-fit coupling ratings are 450 psi for 1, 1-1/4 and 1-1/2 inch; and 365 psi for 2, 2-1/2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 inch.

These figures apply to the couplings, rather than the complete piping system. We confirm the pipe, groove, gasket, temperature and service conditions with your quote. Compare single-bolt and two-bolt ratings ↗

What are the pressure ratings for your two-bolt quick-fit couplings?

Our listed two-bolt quick-fit coupling ratings are 700 psi for 1-1/4, 1-1/2 and 2 inch; 600 psi for 2-1/2 and 3 inch; 500 psi for 4 inch; 450 psi for 6 inch; and 300 psi for 8 inch.

These figures apply to the couplings, rather than the complete piping system. We confirm the pipe, groove, gasket, temperature and service conditions with your quote. See the coupling size and pressure table ↗

What is the difference between a one-bolt and two-bolt coupling?

Our listed single-bolt and two-bolt quick-fit coupling ratings differ by size and design. Use the rating for the specific coupling and nominal size; we confirm the pipe, groove, gasket and service conditions with your quote.

We choose the coupling around the pipe weight, required joint rigidity and how the system is hung and supported. Single-bolt couplings are often a practical choice for standard aluminum air systems. For heavier pipe, we use suitable two-bolt couplings to provide added joint support, with the hanger arrangement matched to the pipe weight and installation. Joint rigidity depends on the coupling design, rather than bolt count alone.

Do push-on couplings need to be taken apart before assembly?

Our push-on grooved coupling options are designed to go onto prepared grooved pipe or fitting ends without dismantling the coupling housing first. Once positioned, the hardware is tightened to secure the joint. This keeps the parts together and simplifies assembly. Follow the specific product’s requirements for pipe preparation, gasket lubrication, positioning and tightening.

Watch our actual assembly demonstration ↗

What is the difference between Schedule 10 and Schedule 40?

For the same nominal pipe size and material, Schedule 40 has a thicker, heavier wall than Schedule 10. Schedule describes wall thickness, rather than a pressure rating. Schedule 10 is our standard aluminum air piping choice; Schedule 40 is available on request. Compare the pipe samples and details ↗

Should I choose aluminum or stainless steel?

Aluminum is our lightweight, good-value standard option for air piping. Our comparison uses 304 stainless steel as the baseline: a durable alternative with good general corrosion resistance and typically a higher initial investment. The right choice depends on the media and operating conditions. See the aluminum and stainless steel comparison ↗

Do you build systems for more than compressed air?

Yes. We build piping systems for chemical, oil, fuel, fertilizer, air, water and potable water applications. Tell us the media, operating conditions and project requirements so we can review the materials and connections with you.

How does your pipe wall thickness compare?

We use real pipe rather than thin-wall tubing. Our aluminum pipe has thicker walls in most pipe sizes than the thinner-wall tubing used by some competitors. Compare the exact material, pipe size and wall schedule when reviewing your quote.

Which pipe schedules do you offer?

Schedule 10 is our standard choice for aluminum pipe. Schedule 40 pipe is available on request, and stainless steel piping is also an option. We’ve also used Schedule 80 pipe in certain applications. We confirm the exact material, size and wall schedule with your quote.

Are the parts easy to service or replace?

Most of our products have easily replaceable, serviceable parts. Compatible gaskets, couplings and ball valves can be sourced locally for affordable upkeep. See how we keep ownership practical ↗

Do you offer affordable systems and fast installation?

Yes. We focus on competitive project quotes and efficient, complete system installation. Our crew carries out the pipe cutting, grooving, fitting and assembly on site. Your quote covers your layout and requirements; our team confirms the installation schedule with you.

Can I request a quote without drawing a layout?

Yes. Choose the service you need on the quote page and describe your project. You can leave technical choices open for discussion.

What should I include for an air system?

Shop dimensions, main pipe and outlet heights, compressor information if known, work areas, equipment connections and piping material, coupling color and any custom powder colors are a useful starting point. The planner helps collect these details.

Can the planner estimate my pipe size?

Yes. Enter delivered airflow or compressor horsepower, operating pressure and the path to the farthest outlet. Choose a material and wall schedule to see a preliminary pipe size, estimated pipe loss and air velocity. Analyze your connected drawing to account for tees, branches and loop flow sharing. By default, full airflow is tested at each outlet separately; you can also enter simultaneous CFM per outlet. The suggested size assumes uniform pipe bore and open valves. You can apply that size to the drawing. Final sizing, component ratings and application suitability are confirmed during quote review. Try the pipe-size calculator ↗

Can I save my drawing and come back later?

The planner saves in the same browser. Use “Save project” to download a project file you can reopen, or print the layout and brief as a PDF. Export a copy before moving to another device.

How do I send a layout with my enquiry?

Choose “Review & request quote” in the planner. The quote page lets you include the saved layout and shows the complete summary before you send it.

Where can I see prices?

Each project is quoted individually. Send your needs or call us to start a project conversation.
